"Many people see getting older as something negative, especially in our pop culture society. However, as I have gotten older, I see the world through different lenses. I've realized I don't have all the answers and that's ok. I've learned to appreciate the small accomplishments...friends and family around a bonfire pit on the beach. Who cares how much I accomplish in life if I never enjoy the days i was given. I've learned the greatest joy comes from heart connections with those around me, no matter their background or race. If you learn this, you can always be happy, no matter the circumstances. In this past season as an artist, I've been surprised at how my difficult life situations were transformed into upbeat, summertime melodies. I guess that's the meaning of this EP, no matter what I'm facing today, what dark seasons or situations we find ourselves in as a nation, hope is never too far off. Change is possible, and love always wins." - Michael Ketterer
